You too can touch the moon – Yashoda with Krishna from Hijra Fantasy series is shown in Mapping Gender: Bodies & Sexualities in contemporary art across the Global South group exhibition at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.
This exhibition explores the way contemporary artists across the global South respond to issues of gender through their works.
It is the culmination of a course on curatorial practice titled, “Shifting Focus: Special Topics in Indian Art: Introduction to Curatorial Practice,” conducted by visiting professor and curator Susan Hapgood. This exhibition will include several thematic subdivisions, exploring the diversity of mediums prevalent today, including performance, photography, installation, videos, painting, sculpture, drawing and printmaking.
